Current TenantsTHE PROVIDENT PUBLIC HEALTH BUILDING will offer premier amenities and abundant parking. Undergoing a full renovation, which includes new windows, elevators, lobbies, and heating ventilation and air conditioning systems, tenants will enjoy first-class comfort in a spectacular historically restored edifice. With PHMC, the region’s public health institute, and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), as the lead and anchor tenants, 4601 Market offers 290,000 SF of modern office and medical office space. The campus is served by public transportation with numerous bus lines and SEPTA’s Market-Frankford subway line 46th Street station just a moment’s walk from the campus front door.

UPON ARRIVAL there are two ways to access the Provident Public Health Building. If arriving from Market and 46th Street, ascend the exterior steps under the massive portico into the original East Lobby. You will notice the soaring atrium, ornately decorated ceiling and preserved historic grandeur of the Gilded Age. This space houses on site food and café uses. If arriving by taxi or car share, there are several pick-up and drop off points in front of the East lobby. If arriving by car, park in either the 48th Street or Haverford lots and enter the newly constructed lobby at the North entrance. This is the ADA entrance and the main point of entry for Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Provident Park

A bike share station, walking and running paths, landscaping, exterior circuit equipment and a playground are planned to give tenants, guests and members of the community access to green and outdoor space.

Tenant Lounge

The tenant lounge is planned to be adjacent to the conference center on the 5th floor. The lounge will be furnished with seating and electrical outlets to provide tenants an alternative workspace and space for reflection.

Conference Center

The conference center is located in the main building. It is available to the commercial tenants and community. The conference center can accommodate up to 20 individuals, and may be reserved by contacting the building management.

Bike Storage

Secure bike storage is located on the North Side of the building. For access to the storage facility, please contact building management.

Fitness Center

The Provident Campus fitness center is located on the 5th floor of the building and offers a cardiovascular and strength training equipment, a group exercise room and men’s and women’s locker rooms. Fitness Center usage is exclusive for tenants’ employees that work in the building.
